Tim Tebow Excited for Quinn Ewers' Performance Against Michigan in Week 2

Former Heisman Trophy Winner Predicts Bright Future for Texas Quarterback

Tebow Believes Ewers Has Potential to Be Elite-Level Signal Caller

Former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is excited to see what Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers can do against Michigan in Week 2 of the college football season. Tebow, who played quarterback at Florida from 2006 to 2009, believes Ewers has the potential to be an elite-level signal caller.

"He's got a chance for the Heisman," Tebow said of Ewers. "He's got all the tools. He's got a great arm. He's got great mobility. He's got great leadership skills. I'm excited to see what he can do this year."

Ewers, a five-star recruit, transferred to Texas from Ohio State in January. He is expected to start for the Longhorns in their season opener against Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 3.

Tebow is not the only one who is high on Ewers. ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit said earlier this summer that Ewers is the best quarterback prospect he has seen since Trevor Lawrence.

"I think he's the most talented quarterback in the country," Herbstreit said. "He's got a chance to be really special."

Ewers will have a chance to prove himself against a tough Michigan defense in Week 2. The Wolverines have one of the best defenses in the country, and they will be looking to make a statement against Texas.

If Ewers can lead the Longhorns to a win over Michigan, it will be a major statement for both the quarterback and the program.

Tebow is confident that Ewers has what it takes to be a star at Texas. He believes that the quarterback has all the tools necessary to succeed at the highest level.

"I'm excited to see what he can do," Tebow said. "I think he's going to be a great player."
